Simon Parker
Pianist, Imperial College London
Simon is from United Kingdom and started playing the piano when he was about 8. He has played on and off ever since, and has given a number of semi-public recitals. After a long break, he has recently started taking lessons again with Mengyang Pan at Imperial. His previous teachers include Ruth Nye in London and Sally Mellor, whose method was built on the piano playing philosophy of Claudio Arrau.
Simon's favourite composers are Bach, Brahms and Beethoven.
Simon currently works in the civil engineering department at Imperial as a researcher on groundwater. Apart from music, he also likes theatre and is taking a play by Moliere this year to the Edinburgh festival.
